Moi?

Hey.
Call me Bryanne, or Bree for short. I am a college student in Lancaster, PA. I gave up meat for Lent last semester. But once Easter rolled around, I decided to stick with it and become a full-blown vegetarian. Actually, first I was a pescatarian but then I converted.
Fast forward a few months. Now, I’ve decided that it’s time for another change. Cue veganism. Sounds scary, right? Especially when my name is a type of cheese. Well, I’m going to try it when I return to school in August.
Why am I waiting? Things will be easier when I can do my own grocery shopping.
Why did you decide to become a pescatarian/vegetarian/vegan?
Ummmmm. Good question. In my experience, most people have a concrete answer for this question. Some rock solid foundation on which their lifestyle was founded upon. Something that they can fall back on when their determination wavers.
Not me. I don’t think I’ve ever given the same answer twice. And while it’s true that there were many factors that led to this decision–ethical, beneficial to my health, personal–I really don’t have a good answer for you. I just kind of decided to do it. I’m a fairly indecisive person, and I think that not being able to say why I decided something can attest to that.
At least you don’t have to worry about me lecturing you about why you should be a pescatarian/vegetarian/vegan, too!
